you have to use this formula in order to get number of classes, Number of class / k / = 1+3.332log of n, n means number of observation Then k = 1+3.332 log 50, log50= 1.698 .Therefore, k= 1+3.332 x 1.698= 1+5.65 = 6.65. Finally, round this decimal number which gives us 7. So, number of class is 7

For the midpoint part you said the way you get the answer is you did 4+15 divided by 2 and when I insert that in the calculator it gives me 11.5 not 9.5.

Am I missing a step?
