Diagnosed at the age of 40 with stage I colon cancer in 2016, Suzanne Miller wanted to flip the script and make colon cancer awareness the focus, not the diagnosis. On November 18, 2016, the cancer was removed as well as part of her colon. On the 18th of every month since her colon cancer story began, Suzanne reminds people to KEEP YOUR REAR IN THE CLEAR and get their colonoscopy scheduled.

In my early fifties I had some weird symptoms. So my doctor sent me for a colonoscopy and I had colon cancer. It's never too early to be checked I don't care how old you are. My son in his early forties had it and my brother had the exact same. Had I not been checked it's possible all three of us would have died of colon cancer.

Thank you so much for the reminder. I'm 44 almost 45 in July and I'm scared to death to find out. I am constantly constipated, is that a bad sign.

The problem is my GP doesn't even want to refer me for a specialist consultation. What can I do?
