GTi is a DSG, much superior and faster on the street than Type R. Mk8 GTi has launch control, and you need to be a pro driver to be able to beat it with Fk8 Type R. I owned MK8 DSG S two years ago, and it is a deceptively quick car. One of my vehicles is now 2024 MK8 GOlf R DSG and stage 1 APR with ~400 hp and 400 TQ, racing any Type R from a dig is a waste of gas.

Gti cant beat fk8 stock. Fk8 is over a second quicker to 60.
