seen zep 3 times yes I am an old dude 2 times in Michigan. hard rock the 18 hour trip to Tampa Florida

it rained and zep was wacked out of there minds.

This is perfect. Everyone performs flawlessly here. Plant’s classic wailing vocals, Page’s epic guitar and solo, Jones’ expert bass playing, which really shines at 2:09, and Bonham’s furious drumming make this a fantastic performance.

It's amazing how in those days the song itself was more of a fluid concept for the band that could change according to the moment, and the recorded version was just one of many permutations; as opposed to today when the published piece is repeated endlessly in live performances down to the last tab of the solo...

Actually, they called themselfes for New Yardbirds at this gig. Graf Zeppelin had relatives that lived in Denmark and they didn't like the name Led Zeppelin.
