LG MVEL2137 Microwave - Quick Review

LG 2.1 Cu Ft Over the Range Microwave MVEL2137
***I have moved and no longer have this microwave, so I can’t answer any questions about it. Search for the manual online***
We ordered this microwave from Home Depot on 11/10/22 & had it delivered 11/29/22 (not bad these days). Since I couldn’t find one in store to look at in person and didn’t see any decent videos online, figured I’d make a quick one to help anyone considering it.

Our initial impressions are we’re pretty happy but don’t look forward to the constant wiping off of fingerprints from the display/touch area, but we more or less expected that.

Thanks for the video as we were about to buy one. NOTE: I see at the end of the video, you demonstrate it running without having anything in there. NEVER do that. It can damage the magnetron and you will be buying a new one. At a minimum, put a cup of water in there to absorb the microwaves so they don't reflect back into the magnetron and burn it out. It can happen quicker than you think

Thanks for this video. I'm about to buy one. FYI, the anti-fingerprint surface is all the stainless steel frame, not the touch panel. It is the same case with their refrigerators and ranges.

I have found it takes almost 5 minutes for the display to dim so just the clock is showing and not all the microwave features. I did time it to make sure it wasn’t just me…

Cool. Have a 2012 LG OTR Microwave. Has the extenda vent. On your the back filters coming down is cool. I just replaced the turntable motor today. Had to remove the extenda vent. It was gross in there, when the kitchen installers installed the Microwave, they never put the back filters in, just realized today to get filters in the back.

Glad you like yours, we're returning ours because it's too noisy. The buzzing noise is much louder than our older microwave. You have a beautiful kitchen!

Just an FYI, dont run your microwave with nothing in it, our LG had a firey meltdown doing this. Nice video thanks for posting.
