I mean, a private purchase is a purchase nonetheless. And the person selling can state which every price he wants. But I do think the seller was in the mind of "what price did I buy it for?", rather than "How much is it worth today?".

The number of ppl I see on fb marketplace selling full builds or individual parts for retail price or higher is insane. Like 10x used b450 mobos alone, all for around 150-200 in my area

Never trust ur coworkers, except if u know them for years, share secrets and meet beside work.

Otherwise never trust them. When i turned 18 i worked the whole spring and summer to buy my first car. I safed up money and told my coworker (who was 10 years older and a ex -car mechanic) that i want to buy my first car.

He told me that he wants to sell his VW, which is in great condition. I got flashed by the rims, the suspension, exhaust and sound of the car. He swore that everything is fine and safe. I bought it... drove it 1 summer and had in the garage over winter.

After winter i had to make the mandatory inspection which cost me 100 bucks in my country. Turned out the car was COMPLETELY rusted on the underside, had loose engine mounts, completely wasted breaks, extremely unsafe tire thread (mechanics told us that this couldve been deadly if i drove them in rain) and the engine leaked a lot of oil into the combustion champers. This car was a goner, i sold it for 200 bucks to a neo nazi, because nobody else wanted to buy it from me (all turkish and polish export sellers declined the car after seing it).

safe to say this experienced was an eye opener for me.
