For someone who has played the game a lot, heres a few additional tips:

+1: Do not sprint and swim, because you swim slower than when you just swim without using stamina.

+2: On Typhoon, when the water starts rising and you get knocked off & cant swim back towards the main area, try to grab onto the very back of the ship where the engines are if possible. This will lend you more time to survive, although you can still get knocked off by fish or bananas.

+3: On Conveyor, during the last 15 seconds when the white conveyor belt speeds up incredibly, go onto the black conveyor belt, as these conveyors dont speed up as much as the white conveyor belts during the final 15 seconds of the round.

+4: On Beast Hockey, you can steal your opponents shield and bring it back to defend your base, you can also grab onto their shield to try to distract them from defending the goal.

Another good tip that works for me. If you pick up an unconscious enemy and you feel you haven't enough time to drag them to where you want, the second they wake, While still holding them you can just head butt them back unconscious. It of course only works so long as they're in-front or above you when you grab them.

Also on the black hole level when you grab for the chain and an enemy is doing the same you may have a chance to headbutt them and still hold onto the chain at the same time.

Heres a tip i use sometimes (it involves sacrificing yourself) In maps like Winter is Coming, its possible to keep carrying your opponent into the ice, as long as they cant hit you, you can freeze both you and the victim.
