Chinatowns have long exported China to the world. Millions of people around the world have witnessed Chinese festivities including colorful parades featuring music, dances, and acrobatics, to mark the Year of the Dog – mostly thanks to Chinatowns. Nowadays, with a growing Chinese presence overseas, increasing numbers of immigrants and Chinese communities, traditional Chinatowns are experiencing dynamic changes. Many have become pan-Asian melting pots.
