Julian the Apostate - Constantius II - The Later Roman Empire

We can now see for the first time the face of Roman Emperor Julian who despite his rejection of Christianity, and his promotion of Neoplatonic Hellenism in its place, caused him to be remembered as Julian the Apostate, he was man of unusually complex character who was a military commander, a theosophist, a social reformer, and an educated man of letters.
We also see the face of his predecessor Emperor Constantius II in 3D whose reign saw constant warfare on the borders against the Sasanian Empire and the Germanic peoples in the west, while internally the Roman Empire went through repeated civil wars, court intrigues, and usurpations.

Merci !

Caesar Gallus, or Constantius Gallus who Contantius executed is worth doing a face reconstruction of. The Eastern Roman Caesar who bit off more than he could chew. He and Julian the Apostate have an interesting interaction (they are half brothers) that's worth research. I would like Gallus's real face revealed. He does have at least one known bust.

Constantine II looks like he had some kind of growth disorder, like those statues of pharaoh Akhenaten; inbreeding?

The first one seems a little too far fetched don’t you think? Unless it was so long ago humans could look that way.

BTW, Constantius murdered both of his uncles and his cousins, two of whom were Ceasars and the other a consul.

Constantius looks quite ruthless and cunning, the reasons as to why he was so effective.Julian was lucky that his elder cousin died, I do not believe he would have defeated him.

O What the world would be if Maximian hadn't hesitated, or Julian put on his curias!
