A lot of scholars say that the witness of 2 women is equal to 1 man in financial situations only in societies where women don't know much about finance. But in a society (like the west) where women understand finance because they work, then the ayah in surah al-baqarah doesn't apply.

Alhamdulillah. We need this type of scholars all around the world so that we Muslims & non Muslims understand Islam very well..

Why is it difficult for a woman to give witness for a murder? Is woman's vision not good enough?

1Man = Qualified doctor for making surgery. 1 Women = MBBS doctor who can't make surgery. so 1 Man and 2 Women. How judgemental. Someone tell him there are so many qualified women who have excelled in finance.

bearing witness and taking advice for surgery is VERY DIFFERENT! being witness doesn't need special training. Can someone please explain this?

if today a woman is highly qualified in financial education and matters then what ?

I just don't understand how anyone can justify this. There are so many great things about Islam, but don't sully the religion to justify your misogyny.

Even if I agree with u, the question then arises that in the islamic society, where women are not involved in business as much, what about those women who are? What about those few women who will still be involved and be successful in business. Will their testimony still be considered half of a man?
And then the second point is, in societies like western society where women are much more involved in jobs and business, does this law become irrelevant?

In BUSINESS matters If 1 man and 1 woman both agree - then there is NO NEED for the 2nd woman.

But if the man and the woman disagree, then the 2nd woman's testimony will be taken into account and she could overule the man's testimony or the 1st woman.

In other much more important matters, we always rely on the testimony of 1 woman alone such as a midwife or a female judge giving rulings or female Doctors / translators / advisors etc etc or as the speaker says female hadith scholars teaching men the religion of Islam.

What a foolish answer a trained surgeon (represent man) and MBBS doctor( represent women) itself says women are less qualified than man what a great fool this man is.

*Answer* bahut si jagah par quran me witnesses ki baat ki gayi hai jisme koi bhi gender specific nahi hai….kuch jagah pe 1 male aur 1 female ko witness banane ko kaha gya hai…..iswaye iss aayat ke kyoki ye aayat specifically financial transactions ki baat karra hai aur islamic society me financial burden mostle males pe hota hai aur male finance ke maamle jyada experienced hote hain…..lekin ek male ki absence me 2 female islie laya gya kyoki agar ek bhool jaye to dusri usse clear krde(ye issi aayat me aage likha hai) islamic society me female ki finance me involvement kam hone ke wajah se 2 ko laya gya hai taaki galti ki gunjaish kam ho

Hahaha, what language gymnastics. Even his audience who are mostly men, are skeptical and appeared unconvinced.

3:42 reference to his verse
The real explanation we got

The witnesses are required to be just, since justice may not necessarily ward of committing sins. Thus, they are warned against deliberate or inadvertent deviation from the true path.

It is worthy of note that the term

"just" (dhawi ’l-‘adl)
indicates that the witnesses are required to be Muslims, just, and male. The blessed Verse closes with an emphasis on all the preceding Injunctions, saying that only those who believe in God Almighty shall reap the fruits of this admonition.

This guy is radicalizing people 😢

But this means a man won’t make mistakes and want to get corrected ? I’m seeking the truth I really want to understand this because I’m confused

He never answered the question - why is the testimony of 2 women equal to that of one man in finance. In any case, the evaluation of the testimony of a witness should be based on their background and credibility, not their sex.

The fact all the women were sitting in the back tells me all I really need to know about this speaker. And this whole idea two women were needed to replace one man because the financial "burden" lays solely on the man and therefore he is an expert is ridiculous. Why are the men entirely in charge of finances to begin with? That's were the inequality starts.
