I see one more airline has succumbed to those horrid slim line seats. They are like sitting on crate with a leather cover.

Why not create a dedicated "Business Class" cabin? The simple equation of not selling the middle seat seems tacky, especially if the fare is higher and being sold as such. If AF is already doing well with selling an 'Economy Plus' cabin on long-haul flights, and so cost sensitive, why not just ditch business on short haul flying and replace it with economy plus (if they are going to be this, pardon the expression, lazy, or lackadaisical about it). From the perspective of a business class passenger, there is no real value to this new business class product.
