Both of their menus looked amazing!! But Katie really took it to the next level with the plating and the floral/herbal garnishes. Definitely made the food feel fancier :)

I agree that Katie's was more fitting for the context of the competition, though I don't typically like what most people would consider "fancy" with a ton of different flavors. Personally, i would have loved Malia's steak+mashed potatoes as well as her sugar cookie, fruity dessert. Yum! Both did so well, a wonderful, friendly competition.

personally i would've chose katie's taco inspired dish which was really exciting and modern, but the tart because i like the way malia used citrus sweet cream and sugar cookie dough instead of traditional tart dough and pastry cream
