I'm getting nostalgic for an exchange I haven't even been on. I already dont want my exchange to end. Glad to see you're making videos again!

Haha I relate with most of things! When I got back from Sydney, The first biggest shock, maybe not cultural one, is how big Tokyo is. It's just freaking huge and everything is mish-mashed in it. And way too many people in a morning train, which I honestly didn't want to remember lol
I hope you'll get over the jet lag soon!

Come to Finland, no tipping anywhere here either, or at least it's only done in proper restaurants and it is completely voluntary. People always pay with debit or credit cards anyway and often one doesn't even have any cash on them. Employers need to start paying a proper wage for their workers over there! I thought Canada, at least, did... aren't there sufficient minimum wage laws over there...?

Glad you are readjusting back in Canada. What is your plan now after Japan?

I’m Canadian and have been living in southern Shikoku, Japan for going on 12 years now. Never been back to Canada once. I’m now renovating my house in preparation to sell and return to Canada hopefully in 2023. I expect to experience a lot of reverse culture shock. You actually look very Japanese. Are either of your parents Japanese?

Even after 1 year from Canada, I really miss there. Returning there is probably the only solution for me.

Can you pretend to be a Japanese tourist in Canada? That would be cool haha.. 😊
