2011 Acura RDX TURBO WITH K&N TYPHOON INTAKE

Just driving around my 2011 Acura RDX all stock except for K&N typhoon intake. I wanted to show how much louder the stock bypass valve is with just an intake installed.

After installing mine, (2010) my mpg’s took at hit. Was avg 19.8 now 16.9 . Not sure if it’s a heavy foot I love with the sound, or more air is engaging the turbo burning more fuel.

yes, the intake made a huge difference in sound for the bpv.
I was going to buy a gofastbits bov, but after installing the intake I figured it was loud enough.
I would definitely recommend the K&N typhoon intake.

Sounds nice! That turbo looks pretty responsive. For some reason I always thought the first gen RDX was kind of interesting and cool, which is weird since I don't like SUVs and I'm not that much of a fan of turbos and this is both lol.

Do you have the actual red air filter right above the battery / right next to it or did you have your red air filter sitting lower by the fog light area by extending the reach with tubing which I believe is 3” tubing that it needs ???

How do they hold up stock boss ima grab a 08 for the wifey but don’t know much about em they seem fun and realiable

your bov is louder then my 07 rdx but I Have a stock intake.. would that be why?

Also, what are your impression on the intake?
I just got an 07, and I'm interested in these simple modifications...
