Defense could use the double violation to their advantage, get the offense to follow you, waive off a FT if they take the bait. I would think the same logic of the rule with marked lane spaces apply here. [12:00]

Scenario 4: if the free-throw was missed, would a substitute free-throw be awarded due to a free-throw violation or is it not a free-throw violation and simply a foul since the defender's feet stayed in their correct lane space?
