I work in a prison and some crazy guy carved "goonies never say die" in the wall of his cell. Just searched it and this came up. Thank you crazy man.

This was one of the songs I was stuck on when the army kicked me out. Reminds of how one door closes and another opens. I thought my entire life was over. As it turns out, it was one of the best blessings in disguise. Never say die damn it.

Stumbled upon a Dirty Heads song for the first time a few days ago in June 2020. Never heard of them. I've now had them playing continuously for 4 days and counting. Sloth's Revenge, Super Moon, Oxygen, Antelope and Garland are now a part of my soul.

I credit this song with saving my life. I was probably a few days away from ending it all, if I had to make a guess. I decided to give hospitalization a try and while I was in there I heard this specific performance. Everything changed. I heard the chorus once and just *got* it. The second time it came around I sung with it and was able to put so much emotion into it that it broke the floodgates I had been holding back. The guy who put it on looked at me and told me I had a beautiful voice, the first time anybody had ever said that. I knew in that moment that I was beautiful. Not because of physical features, but because I had found my spirit again; my spark that makes me, me. I had found a reason to live. Once I figure out how to pay for it, I'm going to go back to school for psychology and enter into the mental healthcare field. I can never repay the staff there, this song, or the world in a way that truly shows how grateful I am, but I can start by saving even a single life. I owe it to those who never got the help they needed. Those no longer with us. If you, reading this, are somebody struggling with suicidal thoughts, please hang on. Reach out to somebody. Go to a doctor, a therapist, a friend, anybody. There are lots of people who want to help.
Idk if the band will ever see this, but if you guys do I just wanted to say thank you. You saved a life with your music, and hopefully someday that life will save others who will go on to do the same.
