-Press the left menu button until you reach the "settings" menu (you can see an "R" in the 3rd row and a "3" in the 4th row on the screen)
-then press the "up" or "down" button three times
-press the "+" button once, done
-press the menu button to scroll through the menue, everything is in english now.

How to change language on a japenese Mercedes 2004-2009.This is a 2005 CLS W219. It is very similar on the W211, SLK R171 and other Mercedes models from this area.

To unlock other languages you will need a Laptop with Xentry/DAS or Vediamo and a C3/C4 Multiplexer.

Wie man einen Mercedes Japan Import auf Englisch umstellt:

-Die linke Menü-Taste solange drücken bis man in das Menü "Einstellungen" kommt. Zu sehen an dem "R" in der 3. Zeile und der "3" in der 4. Zeile links.
-dann 3 mal die Pfeiltaste nach "oben" oder "unten" drücken

-einmal mit der "+" Taste bestätigen, fertig.
-jetzt kann man mit der Menü-Taste alles durchklicken, alles ist auf Englisch umgestellt.

Um weitere Sprachen freizuschalten benötigt man einen C3/C4 Multiplexer und einen Laptop mit Xentry/DAS oder Vediamo Software.
