My Wrangler is trying to kill me!

Thought I'd upload this video to chronicle trying to get my Wrangler fixed through my local Jeep Service Center.

Week 1 - Couldn't reproduce. Tightened the suspension bits. Sent me on my way. Not fixed. Brought it back
Week 2 - Not a word from them
Week 3 - Not a word from them
Week 4 - Oh It's the steering Stablizer. They're back ordered for another month, but feel free to buy your own and we'll install it.
Week 5 - It's fixed! Me: "did you drive it?" Them "yep! It's fixed for sure!"

Captured this video on the way home as the thing tried to throw me into the barrier.

Week 6 - Stay tuned

The amount of "yeah jeeps just do that" and "hey mine does that too!" style comments is concerning

I have a 2011 Wrangler Sahara with 202, 312 miles at like clock work it did this at 98, 318 the same thing literally! Took it to the dealer and replaced the front shock that goes side ways under the bumper and two new tie rods. And has never done it again thank god! Because at 65 miles a hour in Chicago morning traffic that was some scary situation to be in!

As much as I wanted to purchase an American-made car as my next cross-country trip vehicle. Man... I'm glad I picked my Venture Edition 4Runner. I'm really looking forward to Overlanding this summer.

Have it checked for any worn steering components and have it aligned make sure they adjust the caster to the most positive setting.

I had it in my 2000 ford ranger from time to time. I’d honestly just drive it till it went away. If it didn’t want to go away I’d take the truck off road, hit a couple good bumps with the suspension and soon enough it would fix itself.

I wish I was joking. That truck was a tank, I took it down atv trails and it never got stuck. Only downside was max speed it about 70mph

This happened to me going 65mph on I95 in the center lane. Scared the daylights out of me. 2019 wrangler Sahara. Only 20k miles. Love it but I’ve lost faith. I’ve owned a wrangler for the last 14 years but no more. It’s getting traded in this weekend. I’ve seen too many stories where it was “fixed” only it wasn’t.

Check your track bar. It’s probably loose. Pretty common. Really easy to fix

It happened on my Stock 2021 Sahara. Loved my jeep, but after 3 years of dealing with this thing and several times in the shop for a full suspension replacement, I got tired and sold it. There is a big lawsuit for certain models on this issue, but honestly, I don't have the time to go to the shop every few months. Miss my jeep though.

Happened to me going 15 miles an hour taking a left rurn. Hit a pothole and the jeep went into a violent death wobble. I haven't driven it since. 2 months ago.

You gotta lean forward and ease off the gas.

My jk did this. We replaced all ball joints, readjust the rods and never happened again.

My neighbor was doing something like this too but we found he had water in his front tires that was never removed. In winter the wheel became unbalanced. That was hilarious.

Wow yours went away before you had to hit 2nd gear? I don't get control back until I basically stop moving.
