If a police officer saw him why didn't he arrest him at that moment or within like the few days it happened

This whole story is ridiculous… 14 months later… no video in a Super Bowl NFL stadium… the charade of a press conference with an extremely biased sheriff – pointing out race and age every single chance he could… no arrest or attempt to arrest the night of the incident… or an attempt at an arrest when the Seahawks came back to Houston the very next season… “We had a tough time finding Mr. Bennett or getting a hold of him”… Really? Come on man…

Why didn’t they arrest this man WHEN THE INCIDENT HAPPENED, if the cop saw him do it and was a witness. They waited all this time

"How dare you sass me boy?" This is retaliation for Mr. Bennett being a vocal critic of abusive policing. This is an attempt to offer him up in order to keep the rest of you plantation bucks of the NFL in line.

I agree with Stephen A on this one. The police chief shouldn’t be saying yeah pretty sure he’ll be charged like wyd?

So the 1 officer witnessed him do this and didn't arrest him then or even ask the woman if she wanted to press charges?? What kind of cop witnesses a crime and does nothing??

No video & an officer was present but y'all let him go? Y'all wait a whole year later to bring this up? This sounds like selective prosecution to And the police chief bogus for that press conference, how you gonna throw him under the bus before we even got all the facts💯💯💯

That chief is abusing his power...I am a white man who supports ethical law enforcement and I strongly support Steven a. On this...

Absolutely right. You have a responsibility to insure a fair trail. When you basically threw your bias and personal opinion out there you crossed the line of being professional. This is disgusting. If Bennett did it let him get his day in court without public opinion being swayed. That police chief should be fired and NEVER GET ANOTHER JOB in ANY PUBLIC SECTOR again.

In regards to this leader this so-called police chief the fish rots from the head. The entire PD is tainted by his leadership.

Dude, a police officer saw a situation that is "law-braking" while on duty, why did that officer just spectated and did not attempt to convict the perpetrator on the spot? Why wait? Did they somehow blackmailed the guy / team to pay some "compensation" then upon failing to pay, they suddenly opened up this case? This is stupid.
