Native here. Craziest rainy season I've ever seen, our weather has been getting wonky lately. Side note, the military industrial complex is by far the leading cause of environmental impact, don't let these loons trick you into thinking it's the common folk. Wouldn't shock me if this was the result of cloud seeding to deal with the wildfires we've been having.

The lady who said the water came in her yard so she left the house and got on the road isn't very bright. She has a 2 story with attic she should have been moving up floors not risking being washed away in a car on street.

That they're calling this a one thousand year event" - Who's "they?" And more importantly, who's financing "they?"

Why did the WSJ put another state's governor in this article instead of our Governor Scott?

If you have never witnessed a flash flood - it is terribly frightening. It happens so quickly you can't escape it.

Trying to force people into places they can control. They manufacture severe weather to such a point that people will eventually sell, move or abandon their homes and they will come to save the day directing you to a placecthey really wanted you to be in the 1st place. Problem • Reaction • Solution

My question is was there a lot of logging done up the mountain sides from these homes, because if they sold out their forests up stream from their homes, all that loose dirt and logging debris left behind would definitely create this deluge of excess rainwater, without trees to hold that dirt to the rocks and absorb that water into the ground, gravity says it is all coming down. Prayers for recovery, and this should be a lesson to anyone willing to sell their old growth forests in the mountains, MVP is going to be a disaster like this but on a much larger scale, no doubt, for the same reason, someone told them that a paper dollar, with a big number on it had more value than an entire living breathing tree.

The idiocy from the NYS "governor" was neither needed, wanted, or pertinent. Your snippet would have been far more useful without that balderdash.
