Every kettle needs some vinegar from time to time... I guess you also hate limescale. So does your kettle :) Show it some love once in a while and run it with a cup of vinegar for about 30 seconds. Great video and instructions - just did this today and it's made a huge difference! Tip: I added white vinegar to the "min" line on the kettle, rather than your suggestion of just covering the bottom of the kettle. Hope that tip is useful to someone else.

I use pennies as an abrasive with the vinegar. boil the pennies in vinegar, swirl the pennies around, repeat. works wonders. have been doing it for decades. No scrubbing invovled
