I also didn't know the Feds denied responsibility on the Bloody Valentine incident. This really puts a deeper understanding on the anger felt by Zaft soldiers. That one sentence deepened the wound so much.

The Ginn is one of my many favorite mobile suits and I will always be a huge fan of the Zaku 2

You're right that Blue Cosmos fired the nuke. The EA leaders actually talk about it in SEED when Azrael brings up Bloody Valentine at their council session. "--But that was your people" I believe were the exact words.
Apparently the fleet was only supposed to be a show of force, which escalated into an exercise of force when they encountered ZAFT, and then Blue Cosmos aligned soldiers fired the nuke without orders. The excuse of "they did it to themselves" sounds like the kind of spineless excuse that the OMNI civilian leadership would give because they were too afraid to admit that they weren't even in control of their own military. I'm sure Azrael would've loved to claim it openly, Colonel Jessup-style.

I like the idea of an old vet keeping his Ginn over the Zaku or Gouf cause he doesnt like the new models its not uncommon for soldiers to prefer older equipment for various reason to newer versions in our world and id imagine someone that decorated could swing holding onto a machine and some spare parts

Oh sure~~~ The EA totally didn’t launch the nukes, the PLANTs did that to themselves. Meanwhile, Zeon totally didn’t drop a colony onto Earth like four times. The Earth Federation did that themselves.

I like nearly everything about the look of this kit... except the rifle. It just looks so cheap looking with the odd parts separation and the hollow parts on the barrel. It just looks like something that would come with an old NG or low quality SD kit than an MG.
