It's sad to think that the past repeats itself. You would think after Carlos and Smith, and Muhammad Ali, that the silent protest by Colin Kaepernick wouldn't have been greeted with such vitriol. When I bring up these former athletes and their resistance, my conservative friends tell me there is no comparison to Ali, Jones, and Smith. I say Colin's courage was equal to that of all three of his predecessors. It's a shame that we have not evolved!

He should have been with Tommie Smith when the documentary With Drawn Arms was made...I believe John had a rough time also after the 68 Olympic games
