Umar Mustapha Aliyu, the Emir of Biu in Borno state, is dead, leaving behind four wives, over 70 children and 200 grandchildren.
According to reports, the Emir died Monday night at the Federal Medical Center (Federal Teaching Hospital), Gombe after a brief illness.
Former Senator, Shehu Sani took to his official Twitter handle to mourn the late Emir.
Senator Shehu Sanni, tweeted, “My condolences to the Government and people of Borno State over the demise of the Emir of Biu His Royal Highness Alhaji Mustapha Aliyu. May Allah in his infinite mercy grant him Aljanna firdausi. Amin.”
