Authorities have released new details in the investigation into the suspected gunman who opened fire in a Chesapeake,Virginia, Walmart, killing six people who worked at the store. NBC News’ Cal Perry has the latest.

He bought the weapon "legally" and took it home same day? I'm pro 2nd Amendment, but even I agree with a cooling off period. Also, love how they stressed "legally" as if buying a gun "legally" was a crime.

He knew what he was doing. He was mentally I’ll, but not crazy. He planned it. Schizophrenia also say they hear voices, they know something s wrong, but don’t get treatment or refuse. In Canada we had a man get on a greyhound bus. Half hour later he chopped off a young man’s head with a knife while asleep. He went to mental hospital for three years. They released him. He’s now out walking the streets with a new name. If refused to take his mediciation for his illness, look what happened. And he’s out on the streets now. At least John Hinkley spent 40 years in state hospital, which many of thes perpatrators should have been doing.
