I know some people are hating on the anime and that they chose western artists like Yungblud and OneRepulic to do the Opening and the ending song. But you can't deny the fact that this anime SLAPS! As well as the creative visuals and song in this opening! 🔥

Kaiju No.8 is fire and omg its intro is peak, genuinely the only anime intro song i consistently listen to outside of watching the anime. Abyss is so fucking good.

0:01 the sea floor billions of years ago before life
0:03 an hydrothermal vent spewing organic matter from the depth of the earth
0:04 from this organic matter appears the first unicellular life forms
0:05 quickly evolving into multicellular life
0:07 then evolving into the first marine species (fishes)
0:08 predation
0:10 super predator
0:14 intelligent species and technology appears
0:16 LOVE THAT KALEIDOSCOPIC EFFECT with anti kaiju weapons, Kikoru's battle axe and the metal arm
0:33 civilisation rising
0:40 but facing a great danger: kaijus
0:52 the different kaijus of the show
1:10 THAT shot with our heroes facing the kaiju horde <3

Oh boy it’s gonna be hard for season 2 intro and outro to beat this, I’ve watched a decent amount of anime’s even though I wouldn’t say I’m a extremely ultra hardcore fan of it, but this has to be the most unique intro I’ve ever seen for anime

Came here as a Yungblud fan. I honestly think getting to say you made a song for an anime OP is one of the biggest flexes you can make as a Western musician.

I really like how this intro is more than just clips from the anime itself. Not only is it original, but it doesn’t spoil any major plot points or the anime.

When he says “ save my life “ I became deeply sad it sounds like the song telling the story of Kafka especially after he turned to be Kaiju

This will be an amazing anime finally an anime worth watching after Attack on titans
