To help with my point of view. I'm considered "middle age". I've been stacking my whole life. First it was pennies for purchases for toys. Then it was for sentimental or just old cool coins that were worth little. I've had collections stolen or lost. I'm back again smart. Weight, art, modern or vintage, numismatics and continuous learning, keeps my stack smart. Thank you for another great video boss!!!

Is there a video where you suggest what to track on your purchases. At the year end review section I realized I'm not tracking the premium paid since I didn't log spot for purchases. Wonder what data you think we should log to be able to conduct an effective periodic review?

I agree with everything you said.
I’ve since built a spread sheet that calculates, value increase of said coins vs spot price, also, I made a line that includes sales and trades to see how it breaks down for cost averaging. I traded some silver that I bought in 2018 and added some cash for a gold 1oz coin and paid $300 less than the list price, which as still lower than spot. That made me feel pretty good.

I have a spreadsheet and tab each coin type, ASE, Maple, Brit, ect. I have annual once goal and know how many each month/quarter to accomplish. If I fall behind, I know the catch up plan. Or can pause and hold, if needed.

Fractionals bought for the price of 1 ounce is generally a great investment as these can easily be liquidated in emergencies without selling off your bulk. 20 franc, full sovereign, quarter ounce, 10 Mark, 10 Guilder, 10 pesos are all purchased at my local coin shop at spot ++🤗

I got one weakness which I have to keep in check is that I like vintage rounds and some vintage rounds! I just learned to incorporate the ability to resell if need be and the market w/in a 5-10 time period

I do have my strategy and I have a Ledger of everything I have and everything I want but I'd like to learn how to do an spreadsheet where I can have pricing, spot at moment of purchases, and see what my averages/percentages are, and what my ratio is. I do appreciate the info packed videos you put out Professor. Do you have channel stickers made by chance? Id love to add yours to my collection. I've only been stacking a few years now but Ive been thinking about setting up my channel again to share my journey on a budget.

I always have a stacking goal to keep me going. Most times it has been a particular tube of a coin, then full mint tubes of each bullion coin I stack. This week, I just finished another, most meaningful goal I began/set in October... so I finished a couple months early because of always being focused on achieving it and not getting sidetracked by other tempting shiny stuff.
