Great way to start the day seeing you trying to get in the back of that Highlander LOL

Nathan is the James May of TFL. Logical, a bit grumpy, and funny; Great review. Minivan's have always made more sense.

I'm in my early thirties with a toddler and wife and lots of hobbies, I have a 2018 Pacifica Limited and we absolutely love it, toddler included. It makes every family trip easier and more comfortable with all the space, sliding doors, and huge windows... Toddler hates my Ford Edge since getting the Pacifica because he can't see. I routinely hall my paddle board/wingboard, bicycles, bike trailer, home improvement materials, and just generally load the vehicle for vacations and it's excellent in every way. I am in the process of finally selling the Edge, the only thing I'm missing is AWD but eventually I'll snag a new Pacifica 😊

You forgot to point out that in a pacifica with 2nd and 3rd rows flat, a 4x8 sheet of plywood can fit in the back and still close the back. Makes the shortbed trucks in the lumber yards look pretty silly when I pull in and load 10 sheets of plywood and they have 2 feet hanging out the back.

After doing my research I just bought a brand new 2020, Pacifica Limited Hybrid with every option except a sunroof. Was shipped to my door (500 miles) from Denver for free. I got almost $9, 000 off sticker plus there is a $7, 500 hybrid rebate. I went with hybrid because the first row back seats which are not stow and go have a lot more cushioning in them. For my use I liked the better seats over the first row stow and go. FYI the hybrid batteries are under the first row passenger seats. Some of the reasons I went with a Pacifica over the 2021 Sienna were 1. To get the really nice rear seats in the Sienna you have to buy the top of the line. 2. The radio and camera system are out of date compared to the U-connect. 3. The 7, 500 rebate. After 1600 miles (1100 on the highway and 500 city) I have no no issues and the biggest surprise is how much I really love the hybrid. I did opt for a 2020 Pacifica over a 2021 because the year end deals were much better on the 2020.

Wait, are you suggesting people purchase the best vehicle for their needs rather than what will impress their neighbors? You're mad sir!

I moved from minivan to Ford Transit!!

So much space inside!!

But main reason is all the kids won’t fit in a MINIvan I needed a VAN 🤣

Me and my family own a 2017 Pacifica and we Love it! It’s actually pretty peppy. The turning radius is amazing and handling/braking are acceptable as well. The cargo space is off the chart as I just brought home a 3 seater couch 90” in length with the back closed. Seats are outrageously easy to stow away. We purchased this for 21, 500 over a year ago and we’ve never regretted it!

FYI everyone, there’s a tip n’ slide feature in the Pacifica for the second row. It allows a car seat to be left in place while sliding the second row forward.

The roof rack is the coolest Chrysler feature I've seen in a while.

I like the look of the highlander, but I just wish Toyota got rid of that extra "grille" at the bottom.

The Toyota's front grill looks like a cylon " By your command"

I learned to drive in my mom's 1996 Plymouth Voyager. I loved that car, and more importantly, so did she! Like you said, they're super easy to see out of, and super easy to tell where your corners are. Plus, after you drive a minivan for a few years, anything else seems compact.

Nathan just might be my favorite tfl reviewer. Can’t believe I am looking forward for him doing a review of the new Toyota Sienna.

Alright, ya convinced me!! I’d love to have the Pacifica. I’m a pack rack and I haul a lot of “junk” that I think I need in my vehicle and I know I could customize one of those for anything I would need without having to look look like a fleet/maintenance transit van.

I would buy that Pacifica if I was on the market for one. We had a 2001 awd dodge minivan for 10 years when my kids were little and that was my most reliable vehicle ever! Was way more reliable then my tacoma despite it was older with more miles. It had 280k mile on it when we sold it, was running like a champ, I did the maintenance on it myself though.

As I said before in the past on this show, mini vans are the Swiss Army knife of vehicles

Should compare the Sienna AWD with Highlander Hybrid AWD.
