8:32 I'd like to pick a point here. Unitarity of evolution is strictly related to quantum processes, whereas what you're describing about the way black holes are formed is classical, so the situation is more nuanced. You might say, well, all classical processes are at their root quantum, but the way black holes are formed, by accreting stuff has got nothing to do with quantum mechanics per se, in the sense that it's not quantum states that are being pulled in, but collapsed particles. So this whole point of unitarity being violated seems to be somewhat moot.
17:00 Something that has zero information content also has maximal entropy, and something that has full information content like a pure state, has zero entropy, while seemingly paradoxical, is in fact correct. From the point of view of Hilbert space, a pure state occupies a definite direction, which fixes it completely, and there is not a distribution of states which it can occupy, which might have led to an entropy, but that then begs the curious question, what is the representation of a mixed state in Hilbert space? It too is a linear combination of the basis states, and in what sense do they not conspire to make it point in a specific direction?

Neutron decay cosmology and associated topology provide a physical process by which fine tuning is maintained and this same process solves all black hole paradoxes.
All matter which contacts event horizon becomes the vacuum energy for one single Planck second then re emerges at lowest energy point of space (most permeable) where it decays into amorphous atomic hydrogen. The Hamiltonian is retained locally, no information lost. The decay process includes a volume increase, energy density decrease, of 10^54 times. Expansion. Dark energy. Lambda. Fine tuning. The decay product, amorphous atomic hydrogen, has no stable orbital electron so can't emit or absorb photons. Dark matter or some of it. In time the hydrogen stabilizes and follows usual evolution pathway until inn distant future it is again at edge of event horizon.
The universe is steady state evolving locally. The Hubble Doppler is artifact of curvature odd spacetime away from us because we live in local singularity called observable universe. Time is a compact dimension but the universal process is eternal.
Neutron decay cosmology is inevitable.
Our manifold....
Sin(cos(u/2)cos(v/2), cos(u/2)sin(v/2), sin(u)/2) 0<u<4pi 0<v<2pi
Notice 4pi, 2 full rotations, needed to complete surface. Electron halls spin and baryon asymmetry are artifacts of this topology.
