Hello, I believe this is your last video. I just loved the idea of exposing your area of interest such as class field theory, I'm also interested about this topic even though I only have a background of modern algebra and the classic number theory class introduced to an undergrad. I have seen wonderful connections even with PDE's in dynamical systems where the solutions actually form a group which is SL(R) (again introductory). Even though I'm interested about class field theory, I believe there has to be some use for studying elliptic curves, I guess my question is how can I approach this inmense task of understanding elliptic curves from the point of view of your area. Note: I'm now studying silverman's book on elliptic curves with little of no knowledge about galois theory, The semester has not started but this I will ask my professor. I'm not aware of any other pre-requisites. I'm graduating this semester, although I'm not applying to U of chicago (I think u were a lecturer there) because I think I would not get accepted there. I have no research experience, and average gpa, but still applying to other institutions. thanks for this channel I really enjoyed all the free information I will someday as well share with other people.
