County officials removed 121 homeless people from a Palmdale encampment during several large-scale operations. The encampment was located in a remote desert area where residents lived in makeshift structures, tents and dilapidated RVs and vehicles.

The people on social security or disability get permanent housing and they take 1/3 of their benefit for rent. These are people priced out if the housing market. The temporary housing is provided for those who can work and they are put through programs. It's not a free for all. A lot of people who live in vehicles work, they just can't afford housing.

Living without a/c in the desert could kill people.

So where are you pushing them to, because we all know you're not solving homelessness.

Thank God. It’s been extremely hot out here 110 to 120 degrees. May they all receive proper treatment, if it’s drug addiction, mental problems, or alcoholism. Bless the homeless Lord in Jesus name amen 💕

So, they're given housing. Now what? If they get to live on the tax payers' dime for the rest of their lives, can I, should I quit my job to do the same?

Why force them off the deserts and bring them into the city? Out in the desert, they're taking care of themselves, but now, they're the city's responsibility. Many won't stay where there are rules or will be kicked out because they've violated rules. Then, they'll end up camping in the city.

The comments are....well, why do I get the impression that the people complaining about these homeless being housed are the same ones saying homeless should be housed before immigrants. Well, they're being housed before immigrants, and you STILL effing complain.

Half of these people are not even from California. Ask them where they’re from and they’re together from a whole different state. How come they don’t get sent back because this is the only place in the United States that they could survive with our condition of weather
It was more crazy single parents can’t even get housing, but yeah, they gave these people housing

Why worry about some fools in Palmdale, in the desert, in the middle of no where?!?! Plenty of work to do in metro areas.
