Former President Donald Trump laid out his vision for America Sunday at a rally in New York's Madison Square Garden. The rally featured offensive remarks from surrogates like comedian Tony Hinchcliffe, who called Puerto Rico an "island of garbage." The Trump campaign is working to distance itself from that comment. CBS News campaign reporter Jake Rosen has more.

Where do they get the info for these polls that are "neck and neck"?? I have never been polled on presidential candidates in my entire life and I'm curious what people are selected to be polled??

The audience MASS REJECTED Tony just 30 seconds into his sabotage. Quit being stupid, people.

Nearly 5 hour rally, and this is all this “news agency “ reports on. This is not reporting.

He's one of the most popular comedians in America—stop acting like he's Trump's senior advisor or something 🙄🤦🏿‍♂

listen as a Puerto Rican i can say this, it was a joke from a comedian. I can take a joke. What I cant take is the high prices i been paying for these past few years. One joke is not going to make my life better or worse but who i vote for does. If you really care about Puerto Rico just vote for Trump. Seems like the only way people care about Puerto Rico is when he's in office or running for it. BTW Biden just called Trump supporters garbage. One was a joke from a comedian. The other is a sitting president and was dead serious. Not the same at all.

Steven Miller was on the stage, and was NOT the most offensive speaker. Now, THAT is news.

Just so you sympathizers know. A good majority of Puerto Ricans aren't that offended.

If Tony Hinchcliffe doesn't represent the views of Donald Trump or the campaign, why did they invite him to speak?

The idea that most homeless people are migrants is ridiculous. I’m 10 miles north of the mexicali border and every migrant I know works full time and lives in a house. Every homeless person I know is a citizen, and quite a few are white. Migrants work harder because they COME HERE TO WORK, and getting here takes initiative that most homeless people don’t have

Face it, in order to tell a joke you must write it down. Memorize it and repeat it more than 5 times. You know what you are going to say, and you discuss it with other people to check if it is funny and appropriate. Trump loved that joke.

Gee, a comedian telling a joke. What a novel thing to do.

They let the "jokes" run through teleprompters and didn't pull him off stage. This is their message

"That wasn't even a joke it was just straight up offensive" great job CBS news for reporting just the facts without political bias or interjecting opinions

Tony Hinchcliffe, Adin Ross and Nelk Boys. Those are definitely the right people to support you to show you are making good decisions and will help the USA...
