The town of Missolonghi is famous for it's lagoons, swamp and the salinas. A few kilometers outside the town you have the small village Tourlida which is famous for it's 400 meters long sandy beach. On this location you have also the opportunity to be amazed by the pictures houses on the water. On some parts the beach can be up to 50 meters wide and besides the sand you also have some grass under the trees to lay your towel down. The water entry here is very nice and swimming starts almost immediately. Some beach infrastructure is also available here as well as a restaurant and a beach bar. The beach equipment can be also rented here. Accommodation is available either in the town Missolonghi and possibly also around the beach.
