I am working now on customizing a Johnny West buckboard into a surrey. I am adding a second seat, mounting steps, and a top. I am also re-doing an old Lone Ranger Prairie Wagon into a snazzy luggage cart. These will be for my dollhouse dioramas; my dolls are restored 1950s Little Miss Revlon, Vogue's Jill and Ginny, and similar dolls.

I recently ordered a big lot f Johnny West horse harness from eBay -- six bridles and eight sets of harness. I'll have to replace the reins on every bridle, but six sets of harness were undamaged. I spend a couple of hours yesterday repairing the two damaged sets, patching breaks with felt backing and fastening it back together with Gorilla Glue super glue. It gets tedious, but I'm hoping for good results!

Great preservation work. My brothers had Johnny West and the covered wagon when i was little. I used to use Johnny when I played Barbies. He was on the tall side, but i didn't care, lol.
