How To Play: Spirit Island

This is my all time favorite game, and I have logged so many dozens of plays I’m not sure how many times I’ve played it. I’m still not tired of it and plan to play it again this week (maybe multiple times). If you are watching this video because you are interested in buying it, just buy it. You’ll have just bought (perhaps) the best board game ever made.

Small error, when gaining a major power, you're not limited to forgetting a power card from your hand, you can also forget from your discard or from your cards in play (if gained outside of the spirit phase). Other than that, very nice explanation. Hope you're continuing with the Spirit Spotlights as well, I'm very happy about the recent new upload! :)

Note: the video is misleading at 3:10 since makes it seem like the initial invader card drawn during setup stays in the Explore pile after exploring (and again at 5:26). However it goes in the Build space according to the rules. Playing like that would make the game way too easy!

It feels weird that players lose after the explore deck empties. Are you sure this is correct?

the spirits have survived they can take their sweet time clearing the land from invader presence, since no more invaders will arrive or blight the land...

Why is the first explore action placing invaders also outside of Mountain lands? Shouldn't the action be limited to placing invaders (soldiers) in mountains with towns/cities or mountains adjacent to towns/cities and oceans?

So is blight added if 3 or more damage is available or if it gets through? Meaning if there is a city (3), town (2) and 2 dahan is blight added or are both dahan destroyed and only 1 damage dealt to land thus no blight?

This is my favorite game. Unfortunately, GTG doesn't respond to the customer service email. A package I ordered from them has been lost in the mail for over a month. USPS won't help because I don't have the package description... GTG won't respond to my 3 email requests for a package description... So I guess I can't add onto my favorite game in my collection. Very disappointed.
