Webull has finally allowed crypto trading, but is it all worth it? Webull now offers trading of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash. All of the Webull cryptocurrency trading can be found within the Webull app or on their website. Today I give the details you should know before you start trading crypto with Webull.

In November 2020, Webull started offering ability to purchase cryptocurrency within their app. While offered by their partner Apex Crypto, you can trade Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash within Webull (with more crypto coming soon, according to Webull).

In today's video, I go over:
1. Details you must know if you are purchasing cryptocurrency on Webull
2. I invest $1.00 (minimum allowed) into Bitcoin within the Webull app
3. I explain why I am hesitant in jumping full force into Webull cryptocurrency trading.

NOTICE as soon as you bought in at a $1 you had lost a penny in which is 1%. Anytime you buy crypto on webull you are automatically down 1% and then to try and sell and break even the crypto has to rise 1% from your purchase price. LOOK at the spread on bitcoin when you bought in you had to buy the ask at $19279 and the bid was $18889. In order for you to break even the bid would have to rise $390. Some people think 1% is nothing but it is a lot and webull is raking in the money on this. They have a commercial that says you can essentially buy sell buy sell 1000 times a day with no commission but if you did that you'd be broke on your 50th time trying to trade

You don’t have to wait until the money settles in the Webull account. As soon as you go through the deposit option, you can instantly purchase stocks etc. I have done this many times.

Some good comments. What I haven't found is where Webull talks about security of the purchased crypto. Robinhood had a statement saying they keep most the crypto offline and few have access etc. Also, next time should mention the crypto is NOT FDIC insured like stocks, so there isn't just risk of market downturn, but risk of theft and not getting reimbursed. Cheers.

Both. For more privacy I buy what I can with crypto. But most is for trading/investing.

I have Gemini for crypto. Trying to learn. Fractinoal shares. They charge around 3 dollars per trade, trades happen at the click of a button. If you use their Active Trader they charge around .50 cents per trade. Keep tack of your own trades for taxes or get an online tax preparer which makes life easier.

Webull gives me buying power before my cash appears in the account. I have not had the delay in funding the account.

From my current understanding this isn't buying actual Bitcoin that you can put into a wallet or use too buy stuff with.
Do you know how it is taxed? Do you have to pay capital gains tax on selling?

Thanks for the video. Since Webull announced fractional crypto, I’ve been curious how their fee compares to Coinbase. Coinbase is 1.49%, so Webull is a little better in that respect.
