I own a 99 manual transmission se, and I'm telling you it's one of the best driving vehicles I've ever driven. Fun is not even a good enough word.

I learned to drive in my folks’ brand new 1997 Maxima. It eventually got passed down to me and I loved that car, babied it, still miss it. She hit 650, 000km then the trans crapped out.

I LOVED getting my hands on my dad's 1990 Nissan Maxima GXE & I loved owning my 1999 Maxima GXE! So smooth & fast as it was a pleasure to drive back in the day.

There's ZERO CHANCE that I'll ever buy a Maxima today as they are not built with the quality of the old Maxima's. I'll stay with my Toyota Avalon as it's smooth & fast as well.

Bought my 95 SE new, still have it today. Best car I've ever owned. Only have 90K on the clock, this will be passed down to my kids.

I had a 99 SE with a 5 Speed. It was a great car. I always liked the white gauges and the 5 spoke wheels. I put an intake and a y pipe on mine and it woke the car up pretty nice. The car was very reliable and quick around town and also a good highway cruiser it ran super smooth.

My first car was a 1999 Maxima. Inherited it after my grandmother passed away. Single owner, less than 90k miles when I got it, manufactured in Japan.

I still have it. It's the only car I've ever owned.

I just got a 99 nissan maxima been garage kept by the previous owners, filled with premium, and serviced every other month. 46k miles on it and right as I got it the check engine light came on LOL. ended up needing to replace 4 coils and all spark plugs, still drove like a champ even with those problems.

Best Maxima ever. The 95 SE had incredible build quality. Even the headlights were glass which they changed in 96 or 97 to plastic. Million mile cars if taken care of.

I have owned a GXE- 1998- maxima. Since 2004, and car runs strong. We still own it it is now 2023- and it’s quick, easy to drive, maintenance is very low, and the car MPG IS VERY GOOD FOR A 25 year old car.
Interior is still perfect. I have cloth seats. No rips or tears. Comfortable seats.
I recently redid. All the front end suspension, bushings, sway bar bushings, endlinks, lower control arms. And new and rear complete spring and shock absorbers.
New tires, and the car runs smooth drives straight.
Brakes just fine AC AND HEAT WORK. Perfect commuter car. Daily. Long trips still I take this car.

I have always used Yokohama avid tires on this car. I recently got Falken Ziegler 960AS TIRES ARE GREAT IN SNOW. AND TAIN AMAZING TRACTION. Feels like a new car again.

I loved my 95 (white/tan) and 96 (black/black) Maxima SE 5 speed manuals... Quick and felt like a legit luxury car to me. Very special car.

My mom had a 95 Altima 5 speed growing up, which I loved, but this generation Maxima is the reason why I wanted a Maxima in my adult life. Proud to say I own a 2017 Maxima SR now. Would love to still own a 4th gen SE 5 speed. Thanks for making this video!

I have the 1998 Infiniti I30 at 110, 900 miles currently, it's the four speed auto with overdrive and its a super comfortable and great handling car and other than the paint being faded it is an amazing car and had been a blessing for me ^^

The 1997 Nissan Maxima SMX is the one you really want. Yokohama-wrapped 17-inch MOMO wheels combine with Eibach Progressive Pro springs On Bilstein Shocks. Nissan 300ZX calipers with metal matrix pads squeeze cross-drilled ZX discs up front; the stock Maxima rear brakes also get the pad and drilling treatment. It has a full Stillen Cat-back exhaust, intake, upgraded ECU, Stillen strut brace, super short-shift kit, thicker anti-roll bars, a full Stillen body kit and spoiler.
It puts out 230hp and 330NM of torque, hits 100 (62mph) in 7 seconds or so and goes onto a top speed of about 250km/h. 120 SMXs built of which only 20 were manuals.

Yes, I still own a 1996 model. I've had minimum issues with it. Love it still since the 1st day I laid eyes on it! There is no desire to ever get rid of it.❤
