Am a teenage daughter myself, I was the one that initiated building my pc and my dad being a machinist was interested, took us 6 hours just cuz I had to explain what everything did to my dad and it being the first PC I've built.

there's a few little quirks to it, the back fan wasn't plugged in, the radiator screws dont sit flush against the case so the filter has 3 visible bumps, and the USB A port on the front of the case doesn't work for the simple fact that I gave up after trying for 30 or so minutes, and the 2nd fan on my radiator isn't connected to a CPU_FAN header so it isn't running full tilt during turbo boosts, regardless the hottest my i7 has gotten is like, 70c.

I watched you and others, Jay, to feel competent and confident enough to build a computer, parents weren't confident, they had a fire extinguisher ready, but thank you for taking some time in your videos to explain the little nuisances of computers.

It's really cool that you've taught your daughter how to build computers. Even if she loses interest in computers when she gets older she will always remember the times she spent with you.

No one and I mean NO ONE does a build montage quite like Phil does, completely impressive! Oh and Jay...she's growin like a bad weed but her heart is in the right place to build a rig for a friend, nicely done.

8:00 Now THAT is truly a sign of the family connection, they even strike the same "waiting to install / update pose" I've seen Jay take hundreds of times in these videos :D

Had a big smile watching you high-five when the build was done. Looking forward to doing this with my daughter in a few years.

The fact that you are giving your daughter's friend a computer just goes to show how great of a person you truly are! Stay classy man!

When you've been watching Jay since all he had was a camera, a dinner room table, and his living room in the background where people would game. You've got to see Little Jay here grow... and jesus. I swear to god she was like 5 last time she was on here... Now she looks grown. wtf

This brings back good memories of building computers with my son many years ago. We still tinker with them together to this day even though he's 40.

I love how you get little glimpses into your daughter growing over time. You have raised a lovely young lady and it's great that you guys can do stuff like this together

As a dad myself, you're a damn good man Jay. The best part of this video is you could see how proud, and happy you and your daughter both were to be doing this, and every father and child should experience that. You're the only tech youtuber I know that proudly shows that they are first and foremost a dad above all else, and that commands the absolute most respect.

When my daughters built their first PC's I was so proud. Now they know how to research, plan, budget and upgrade when it comes time to do so. Kudos to Jay and Lil' Jay.

"I brought all 3 of my kids"
So what you're saying Jay is that Phil and Nik have their own build buddies too with your other kids. 😁👍

This video made me appreciate my pc even more, considering there are tons of people who have to live with the "family pc". One day bros, hang in there!

My grandmother got me into computers, later on she also married (Grandpa has passed many years ago) another computer enthusiast. I love it when I see family/chosen family passing down information on things that people might otherwise never learn about or get into.
