I’m from the US, and was surprised at how small your charity shops are when I was there. We have thrift stores the size of your Tesco. Are they always small like that, or are there larger shops in London I just didn’t see? Lovely haul, and glad you’ve discovered sewing. It’s fun to have the ability to make exactly what you want. That first dress pattern would look good in a plain, black, cotton, with a pinafore over it in black and white stripe. Something along the line of a goth Alice in Wonderland.

Viskose is not polyester. It is made of basically wood fibers so it is a natural fiber. Great for summer.

In the U.S. we do call them thrift stores. One of my best friends is from London and she calls second hand stores charity shops. I love thrifting and your style.
