Engaging with books has significantly elevated my perspective on investing. True wealth isn't built through mere savings; financial freedom stems from strategic investments. I've learned that accumulating wealth hinges on making prudent investment decisions|

I like Mohnish Pabrai's book, very straightforward, easy to understand, similar to Peter Lynch's books examples.

Sven, I recommend the book Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets by John Murphy. A must-read for everyone who wants to be a successful investor.
If you combine technical analysis with understanding company fundamentals it is a killing combination. To be a successful investor, one simply must understand the chart analysis, trendlines, patterns, moving averages, pivot points, oscillators etc. etc.
In the world of quants and so many smart mathematicians and economists working on the Wall Street, one has to take into account that knowing fundamentals simply isn’t enough because they are a few steps ahead of you. Always.

your reverse psychology worked, picking up a copy of dao for myself. my reccomendation is antifragile and fooled by randomness, most people know taleb for the black swan but his lesser known works have gems in them

Hi Sven,

I started to get interested in investing since May, more and more. Mostly, I've been only watching videos and learning about how to invest and analyze companies like a value investor. I'd like to start soon buying parts of great businesses at fair prices and hold them for the long term. Firstly, I just want you to know that I really appreciate your work. Of course, I suscribed to your channel and clicked on the like button.

I've just finished the very instructive book of Peter Lynch you suggested in this video. It teached me a lot about... I'd say almost everything that concerns investing in the stock market! I especially enjoyed the essential part about stocks types (slow growers, stalwarts ecc.), how to recognise them and invest in them, as well as his "theory" about tenbaggers and his advices about what to check first in a balance sheet. As next goal, I'd like precisely to improve my knowledge about balance sheets and annual reports... the very basics. Actually, I've already learned a lot about this subject in the past months just by listening to some great youtube channels, specially yours and others like Everything Money and Learn to Invest, as well as from Lynch's advices (his clarification of the concept of P/E is great). Still, I can't figure out all the concepts involved in, specially in the cash flow part, which is very important for a value investor. For example I don't unterstand why some companies have negative operating cash flow, but positive free cash flow because of positive financing cash flow.

I will read, one after another, the other books you suggested, but could you mention to me one or more books that really goes into details about how to read balance sheets, annual reports ecc., and, ideally, explain what does each concept exactly mean? Does one of the other books you suggested, perhaps, fit my requirements, so that i could read it as next? Finally, I'd like to ask your opinion about this title, that seems related to my request: "Warren Buffett Accounting Book: Reading Financial Statements for Value Investing".

Grazie mille per i tuoi video e per i tuoi consigli!
Aris
