You are lucky. I'm amazed that all the sparks and arcing you did didn't cause the gasses escaping from the OPEN FILL CAPS to ignite and cause the battery to explode.

Its amazing, it is too simple and easy, but I have doubt the battery will not last long..🙄🤭
Anyway, I love your DIY videos as I am not having any knowledge on electrical.

Hello everyone. I am leaving this comment for you people to understand and to remove all the confusion.

Firstly, it's a C20 inverter battery and not a truck battery that can discharge high current up to 400 amps to start truck engines.

Secondly, by full battery restoration, i meant that the battery is alive and not dead anymore. Full power output will still take around 2 weeks of continuous use by charging and discharging, as i have stated in one of the comment replies.

Thirdly, ampere flow through wire not only depends on the battery but also the area of cross section of the wire. Here, the wire is not smoking because i didn't keep it connected for long, + it's quite thin.

Hope this answers the confusion.

But I don't see you using voltage beyond 14 to restore this? Or by using a battery load tester as well as a hydrometer to double-check??

For a 12 volt battery to be considered "fully charged" it should hold a steady 13.6 volts or slightly higher. 12.3 volts will power things but it's not considered to be fully charged.

Do same for sealed bike battery, please.

I am curious to see what voltage the battery will settle at after charging it with 14.2v

What's the appear rating of the charger you are using? Good one, i love to get those materials you are using

battery should be charged to 12.7 or 12.8 V.

How do you go about building a fast battery charger please advise many thanks.

That battery is nowhere near "fully recovered". 🤦🏼‍♂️

You got it to take a small charge, but a full battery that size would pop that 10GA wire like a fuse on a short circuit.

Did you say with rain water?

Or I heard wrong.

What liquid did you put in the battery

You’ve charged a dead battery, but it will not keep this charge nor it will start a car, you better read about sulphating of plates and this will not be recovered

threeD printed funnel. I really love your work, very useful and educating, and inspiring, but i still do not get the point of printing a funnel. you go to the shop and buy one or for less then the price of the print raw material.

Why CLICKBAIT?
100% sure that battery capacity is very low, in other words it's STILL DEAD!
The ESR of that batter is very high and will not push very many amps, 50 amps is nothing for a battery that size, starting a truck is 500+ amps, that battery is TOAST, yea it will wort for light loads, but capacity is crap. Shame scamming your subscribers.
