Cooper the Irish Setter - 2 Weeks Residential Dog Training

Cooper the Irish Setter has completed a 2 week Intensive Board and Train Course at Adolescent Dogs

Cooper's main issues were recall when playing with other dogs, loose lead walking, attention barking and mouthing in and outside of the house and counter surfing.

We've worked hard on teaching Cooper to settle on his bed quietly and got to the point where Cooper was choosing to stay on his bed without any prompting. Settling on the bed also reduced his counter surfing tendency and together with some management in place, his mouthing was greatly reduced to almost nothing at all too.

We've also worked on his engagement skills which has helped us to get some good results in terms of recall and his loose walking.

Do Irish setters leave you with fur all over your shirt just by brushing up against you and does he run away often? (I’m getting one and want to be sure it’s the right choice)
