I have loved the class so far! Getting to see David outside of the persona most people associate with him and discussing theories and brainstorming and just having fun with Asi and Steve has been so worth the money. I think, even when they are discussing very basic principles, getting the nuances and different performance styles from 3 incredible performers reminds you just how powerful these tools can be to an audience. David has become one of (if not THE) biggest name in modern magic with effects that sometimes use very easy, direct methods and it is just fascinating to hear him explain his take on these things. Of course 2 decks of Split Spades doesn't hurt the price haha. The classroom aspect is great too: sharing ideas and advice with peers makes it like more on a "real" class you may take in person and if you can take a $300-400 class at a local community college, all of what they've put together here is well worth the $200 if you're financial situation allows it (especially when you could spend $50 just four times over the course of a few months on effects or gimmicks).

As a Hobbyist who studies and practices card sleight of hand and Mentalism, I am familiar with David Blaine's go to card effects and perform them myself-- But I'm sure there will be some nuggets in this course that will make me a better Magician -- Thank

Same with me. After seeing David Blaine's first special, he inspired me to continue with the hobby by making me realize just how powerful it was the knowledge I already had. I had read Blackstone's Modern Card Tricks, the Magic Book, Paul Curry's World Beyond, and other books and VHS tapes from the local library. Most of the effects he showed I already knew how they were achieved, and I could figure out the rest, but I never knew or realized how the showmanship helped get such strong reactions from everyday people in everyday situations. I never realized the power that I had until I first saw Blaine in Conan O"Brien's Late Night while doing homework for high school, he was amazing. It was a joy to see Blaine perform as his love for the craft was evident, and then witness throughout the years as he was able maintain and build his persona and magic "character." I then went in deep into the "hobby" and realized it was truly more than that, it was art.

I signed up immediately as soon as I saw the ad it. Even if I don’t necessarily learn any new tricks, I know there will be nuggets of knowledge and wisdom in this. It’s also 3 master magicians discussing and teaching magic. People have paid $200 for some gimmicks without any teaching or ideas. I mean it’s David Blaine! Lastly I’ve seen signed David Blaine playing cards go for more than $200, so another way to think about it is you’re paying for David Blaine signed cards. Look forward to seeing everyone in class! 😃

I envy you doing this. I wish something of this caliber had been offered 30 years ago. My turning 80 in two months plus just suffering from a stroke has made me a collector i.e. not a performer. But I’m still here and am continuing to study the art and consult with buddies at my Ring meetings.

They are all pre-recorded videos and you can watch them in any timezones and your own schedules. But you have to watch each video in order of it's day release to follow the curriculum schedules. And after that you can watch them over and over gain after the 30-day session.
