HVAC Basics - Heat Sequencer

An HVAC sequencer is a small circuit designed to help stabilize circuits and turn switches on and off quickly in an electrical setting. In this particular video we will be covering a heat sequencer. This device will typically run our fan or indoor blower motor on air handler applications. It can also turn on and off our electric heat strips. It is a very simple device but very powerful in what it does.

Watch this CTE video on the Heat Sequencer and learn the structure of how it is made and it's basic operation. You'll also learn some of the typical failures you'll find with this device.

Not a good explanation.
The 24 volt thermal disc moves downward, not upward, to allow the contacts to close on the high voltage side of the sequencer.
