I love how as soon as she realizes she's with adora, Catra relaxes immediately.

The crazy part of this is, Catra was dead, she has no way of surviving what happened to her, she died, and Adora through nothing but determination to save her brought her back to life.

For me, the best part about this scene, is that momentary look of shock on Catra’s face when Adora hugs her. In my mind this isn’t because she thought Adora was a near death hallucination, but rather because the reaction she was expecting from Adora was the anger and hate that Catra BELIEVED Adora had for her.

So to instead receive the love and affection, from the ONE person Catra cares about most in the whole universe, caught her off guard. She thought she would NEVER get this feeling of closeness with Adora back, and considering everything Catra went through just prior to this, Catra knew that IF she didn’t get this back, she would have no one but herself to blame (same thing with her realisation in the next episode when Adora puts her ultimatum forth “And if you think hiding from the people you hurt will make you feel better, we’ll drop you off and you’ll never have to see us again… you’ll never have to see ME again.”).

Adora however, being Best Girl that she is, knows exactly what Catra needs to begin healing, the comfort of a friend here, holding her close to reassure her that everything will be okay, and some tough love next episode, to get Catra to actually start trying to be better, or risk losing it all again.

Apparently, Catra put her ear up to Adora's chest to hear her heartbeat to ensure it was really her and not a hallucination.
