Inside the Secret Mountain Base Built to Last FOREVER

Today’s video is going to be an expose on the US military’s most secretive military base. Known as the Cheyenne Mountain Military Complex, this fort is literally built several thousand feet inside of a mountain in Colorado. With the ability to survive a whole host of disasters, including a nuclear Armageddon, this video will demystify some of the comings and goings of this place as well as describe the interesting details that make this bunker the best place to be in a nuclear attack.

I live and work in the region, the Canadian military serves there too protecting North America. We have too many eggs in one basket here; NORAD, Northcom, the Air Force Academy, Peterson AFB, Fort Carson. Nice place to live, lots of nice people.

The base only last as along as the water, fuel and food last. It is not forever unless it is totally self sustaining.

The Huge vault doors were built by a company called Mosler. They are no longer in business but built the finest vault doors ever created! I was lucky enough to see a much smaller one that a friend of mine bought years ago to put in his house for his vault. The build was incredible! I can't even begin to think what the Cheyenne Mountain doors are like! Great Video! Thanks for sharing!!!

Im an American veteran, and in my experience as a military man, our government shouldn't allow reporters in the war or showing things like this mountain.

Unless there's a nuclear reactor in that mountain, Diesel generators would only be useful short term.

The security is also why they chose to house the Stargate in its based, the Stargate also has a iris or shield to prevent invasion, and the base can stand an attack from a Gou'ald Ha'tak class mother ship, and also has a self destructive feature as a last resort. Also in the case of the apocalypse scenarios people can escape Earth through the Stargate to what is called the Alpha site on the other side of the galaxy
