I truly believe that people can be better parents once they've done most of the things they want to do in life. My Mom went to Italy, graduated college, and started a business before meeting my Dad. When they met, they both did a lot of therapy and went on trips together to see the places they've wanted to see. They didn't settle down and have me until they were truly ready.
And my whole childhood I've never felt unwanted, nor have either of my parents felt like they lost out on life because of me. They already did what they wanted to do before having us.
