I met this wonderful Filipina Mary Anne in an old Market in the Philippines in December 2022. She told me she needed my help looking for her Ex U.S. Military Father who she had never seen or met before. This was the beginning of our six month journey to try and find her long lost American Father. We asked for help from our subscribers and two of them kindly donated an Ancestry DNA test kit. Using this kit we were able to confirm that Mr Gemelli was NOT Mary Anne's missing father, but it helped open the door for us to find her real Father, Mr Frank Davisson through a 3 percent cousin match. This is the incredible story of finding Frank, his shock of learning he had an Amerasian Filipina daughter in the Philippines and reuniting him with Mary Anne after 49 years! I spent 3 weeks editing this video on a mid range samsung phone (as I do all my videos) and right as I was about to upload it, I lost everything!! Three weeks of editing every day, gone. After a couple of hours just staring at the walls I pulled myself together and realised the theme of this video was NOT to give up in the face of adversity, NOT to loose hope, but to keep moving forward achieving something new with each little step. I restarted editing, trying to remember the clips, what order they were originally in. I finished it in three days. NEVER GIVE UP, NEVER LOOSE HOPE AND NEVER LISTEN TO ANYONE who posts that you can't do it!! 😊

My spouse was stationed in Thailand in the early 60’s. I married him in late 60’s. Numerous times in our early marriage I asked my husband if he was sure that there was no possibility of him having fathered child while stationed overseas. I made my husband aware that if indeed there was a child or children behind that I wanted to take care of them. He is 82years old & thus far no children have come up. He did do the ancestry DNA, which I was glad. It’s easy to love children regardless of the age!

Mary Anne’s father’s response to her was so warm, and welcoming. Of course the DNA test is necessary confirm, but it was so sweet that he acknowledged their resemblance before that and the dates he was in the Philippines made sense with her birth. I know it had to be a relief to be accepted immediately after over 40 years.

It’s so disgusting that people where saying “forget about finding your father. He abandoned you” Why would they think he abandoned her? The chances that these fathers even know they had a child are almost 0%.
