The human eye is naturally more sensitive to the color green. So Green crosshair is usually a safe bet if you're not sure

If you want to have a crosshair that works on any colored background, use white crosshair with black outline. White with black outline has been scientifically proven to work on any background color without your eyes losing focus on it. That is why, for example, subtitles are white with black outline in movies and tv shows.

I just use white with a black border, it works on every map
