A car that weigh over 1570 kilos, has "only" around 340 HP and FR layout while doing 1/4 mile in 12 seconds is astonishing. For comparison, Ferrari 360 modena from 1999 that is way lighter ( 1390 KG ) and has over 400 HP, was able to do 1/4 mile in 12, 4 seconds. It shows how much has technology developed over the years.

Well i am not surprised. I have been telling people toyota badge is much lighter than bmw badges. You could definitely see the difference here
